 Our Mission

Welcome to the Ludlow–Palmer Veterans Services Department.

Our mission is to honor the service and sacrifice of our nation's veterans by providing compassionate, professional, and comprehensive advocacy to veterans, surviving spouses, and eligible dependents in the Towns of Ludlow and Palmer. We are committed to ensuring that every veteran receives the federal, state, and local benefits they have earned through their military service while treating each individual with dignity, respect, and integrity.

As the designated Veterans Services Department for both communities, we serve as a one-stop resource center for veterans and their families. Our experienced staff assists with VA disability compensation and pension claims, Massachusetts Chapter 115 benefits, health care enrollment, survivor benefits, emergency financial assistance, transportation resources, housing referrals, education and employment programs, and connections to a wide range of community services.

In accordance with Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 115, Massachusetts remains the only state in the nation to mandate a comprehensive veterans' assistance program administered through local Veterans Service Officers. This commitment ensures that every eligible veteran has access to knowledgeable local advocates dedicated to protecting their rights and helping them navigate the many benefits available through federal, state, and local agencies.

Through the regional partnership between Ludlow and Palmer, we have expanded our ability to provide exceptional service, increased outreach, strengthened advocacy, and improved access to programs while maintaining a local presence in both communities. By combining resources and expertise, we are better equipped to meet the evolving needs of today's veterans and their families.
